There’s nothing worse than an otherwise put together outfit being ruined by a gaudy necklace, or the wrong pair of earrings. I’m a firm believer that an accessory can make or break an outfit. For this reason, I have about five items that I am constantly rotating, and working into my every day wardrobe.
Some days I want to keep it simple and delicate, while on others I’m feeling fun and want a pop of color, or a statement making piece. What’s even better is that they’re all very versatile, so I can mix and match them, and style them up or down, depending on the occasion and outfit.
Keep reading to see what my current favorites are, and how I style them. All linked, plus a few added options for each! While these have been my summer staples, you can easily take any of them into fall!
I think a simple ring is the easiest way to add a little more to any outfit. It can be one ring, or several, stacked to perfection! I love each of these options because they’re all delicate, and can easily go with a gown, or jeans and a tee.
Lately I have been very into the layered look for necklaces. They just have that cool girl vibe that I can’t quite put my finger on. These are pieces can be layered or worn alone. I particularly love the option that comes with 3 layered pieces. The crescent necklace from Uncommon James was one that I had my eye on for months, and I finally pulled the trigger. I wear it several days a week to work, and I’ve paired it with a wedding guest outfit (tip: always keep the necklace in it’s protective pouch when not wearing, and avoid swimming or showering with it on). Lastly, I love this little initial pendant! It’s so Carrie Bradshaw, and I love the personalization!
Earrings are the most fun and versatile of all. They are such an easy way to liven up an outfit, and really pull it together or liven it up. I picked up these Gorjana studs to wear in a wedding that I’m in, but they’ve quickly become an every day addition for me. I love the fun, party vibe of these tassels, and I would style them with a plain tee to give it some character. Of course, you can’t go wrong with a classic pair of hoops, and these are a staple in my jewelry box.
What are your jewelry staples that I need to add to my collection? As you can see, I stick mostly to gold, so I could use some variation! Tell me below, and as always, thank you so much for reading!
