How to Wear Velvet

Velvet seems to be the trend that never goes away, and I’m completely fine with that. It’s the perfect material for all holiday outfits: it’s soft, it’s luxe looking, and it’s chic. There are so many ways that velvet can be styled, whether you want to rock it at work, to the club (LOL), or to a classy Christmas party.

Need some inspo? Here are some of my picks!

Jumpsuits are one of my favorite clothing items because they’re so easy. One piece and you’re done. They’re also very comfortable and easy to dance in without having to worry about flashing your booty, and most can easily be worn with a bra (a struggle I’m sure we all know too well). Any of these are great for a party, or could be dressed down with a leather jacket and booties.

Long, short, velvet works for all lengths when it comes to dresses. I’ve been eyeing this green one for awhile, and I’m thinking it could be the perfect pick for a holiday party I’m attending next week! Paired with strappy heels for a sexier look, or pointy toe booties for an edgy look, I love all of these dresses.

Sold on velvet and ready for more? Try it in a bodysuit with flare pants like I did, a velvet tee with jeans for a casual look, or in a blazer to throw on over an outfit for the perfect amount of fancy.
